Founded by sisters Natalie and Andrea Pavela in May 2014, Yoga+ events bring together the transformation and discovery of yoga practice and urban living. Yoga+ takes traditional practice out of the classroom and into different corners of Chicago, including concert halls, restaurants, private dining spaces, coworking offices, photography studios, salons, retail stores, private artist studios, breweries and distilleries.
By the end of 2015, they had hosted and produced over 30 different workshops in Chicago, collaborating with a diverse slate of makers, brands, artists, and chefs. Check out the gallery of past events to see a sampling of the types of experiences offered.
In January 2016, Andrea said yes to a new adventure halfway around the world in Sydney, Australia. Natalie continues plan and host collaborative workshops in Chicago, partnering with other local yoga instructors for private events. Brands such as Anthropologie, Soho House and Under Armour have sought out Yoga+ to curate one-of-a-kind experiences for their customers, members, or clients.
If you're interested in collaborating on or hosting a private event, say hello!

After Jessica Murnane's personal health story led her to a plant-based diet that changed her life for the better, then she never looked back. With her popular website (www.jessicamurnane.com) and podcast (One Part Podcast), Jessica's on a mission to help others be their happiest and healthiest selves (+ there's a book in the works for 2017!). Another way Jessica spreads the good news about plant-based eating is through her unique For Reals Meals dining series. Each month Jessica choses a host that doesn't already subscribe to a plant-based diet and challenges them to cook an entirely plant-based meal - for strangers! Natalie and her sister Andrea were honored when Yoga+ was invited to host, and jumped at the opportunity to gather together some rad boss ladies whom they had admired and followed from afar. Jessica graciously hosted the group for yoga and a communal meal at her cool Gold Coast apartment. The Tuesday afternoon meal stretched into the evening hours and by the time goodbyes were exchanged, true friendships and bonds had been formed. Plus, everyone was pretty impressed with how delicious the plant-based recipes had turned out. Win!
