A midwestern native, Natalie returned to sweet home Chicago after studying entrepreneurship and marketing at Baylor University. Launching her career in branding and communications research allowed Natalie to hone her project management skills - juggling timelines, budgets, and multiple vendors with ease. With a passion for Arts Education, Natalie served as the Events Chair for the Urban Gateways Junior Board, helping secure sponsors and orchestrate details for multiple fundraising events during her two year tenure. Natalie relished the year she spent interning for the wonderful ladies of Forth Chicago, as it provided an opportunity to aid in planning small, intentional quarterly gatherings for a community of creative female entrepreneurs. During her time with Forth, she took a lead role in social media management and content development - interviewing community members, writing original posts and editing blog content, while also fostering conversations and connections through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. From there, Natalie joined the team at Greenhouse Loft as their Social Events Manager, where it became clear that her innate strengths & personality traits shined when working in the wedding & event industry. Her experience was heightened by her internship with South Social & Home, which brought exposure to wedding planning, event production, styling, and interior design. Through all of these experiences, Natalie formed an effortless, well-rounded approach to event planning. Pairing her confident style with logistical mastery and instinctive eye for details and design allowed her to quickly grown into the role of Senior Event Producer at South Social & Home. Meanwhile, Natalie and her sister Andrea launched a passion project workshop series called Yoga+. Each event they hosted paired yoga with an interactive and educational component, and through these unique experiences the sisters created a community of eager learners and city explorers in Chicago. In 2015 Lettuce Entertain You added a historic downtown event space - Ivy Room at Tree Studios - to their portfolio and Natalie was an integral addition to the team brought in to grow corporate and social business at the venue. At Ivy Room she's had the pleasure of partnering with a wide variety of clients, including NPR, Nike, Sweetgreen, United, Cartier, Deloitte, Moen, The Freehand, University of Chicago, and Protein Bar to create unique and memorable event experiences.
In her free time, Natalie can often be found browsing galleries at the Art Institute, testing out new recipes at home, planning her next travel excursion, or cruising along the lakefront path on her cobalt blue bicycle.
Natalie is available for a variety of freelance projects including wedding planning and coordination, interactive workshop production, planning thoughtful, intimate dinner parties, or creating websites on the Squarespace platform.
